Meet Leona — the total package!

Leona is a dreamy little kitten who checks  all  the boxes: beautiful tan-and-white coloring, irresistibly cuddly, a happy purr machine, playful, and full of confidence.  Leona  loves  people and gets along well with other cats. While we haven’t tested her with dogs, we believe she’d adapt just fine.

She willingly hops into your lap and purrs the moment you start petting her. She’ll curl up, fall asleep, or gently nudge your hands when she wants more love. She enjoys being carried around for a better view of the world, though she’s not a fan of lying on her back.

Leona is a dream to care for—she lets us trim her claws while she lies peacefully on a pillow, and she even lets our kids hug and carry her around. She delights in her daily treat and adores cozy nap spots like the plush toy box, under a towel, or on a big bean bag.  She enjoys sunbathing, playing with toys, and getting her back scratched.

Leona can be adopted as a solo kitten, but we’d love it if she could go home with one of her sweet brothers, Shane or Rory.

Most of Dexter's Kitties are fixed, chipped, SNAP combo tested and vaccinated for their age. The adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $200 for two kittens. If you rent your home, we respectfully ask for your landlord or management company's information to confirm pets are allowed. If you own your home, we will check public records to confirm.

If the cat is still on our website, that means the cat is still currently available. If you have questions, your inquiries will be given priority if you submit an application at  www.DextersKitties.org . We are a volunteer team and try to respond as quickly as time allows.

And finally please remember that cats can live more than 20+ years, so this is a LIFE TIME commitment.  Please make sure you have the financial resources to cover emergency vet bills if your cat gets sick, a stable home, and someone to take the cat(s) if something heaven forbid happens and you can no longer care for them.  Thank you for adopting a rescue cat!
