Yashi is an all round great kitten.  She was one of 8 kittens living outside and was brought inside when she was about 6 weeks old.  She has been loved on by lots of different people (so she doesn't take long to get used to strangers). She is happy go lucky, curious, playful, loves other cats, and enjoys being petted. She is a lap kitty and will make a sweet office companion while you work.    

It would be great if she had a playmate (she has several siblings in her litter and is partial to the company of her sister Freckles) but she can be adopted as a solo cat if she'll be given lots of attention.  We have not had her around dogs yet but we think she'd do fine if the introduction is slow and supervised. 

All of Dexter's Kitties are fixed, chipped, SNAP combo tested and vaccinated for their age. The adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $200 for two kittens. If you rent your home, we respectfully ask for your landlord or management company's information to confirm pets are allowed. If you own your home, we will check public records to confirm.  If the cat is still on our website, that means the cat is still currently available. If you have questions, your inquiries will be given priority if you submit an application at www.DextersKitties.org. 

We are a volunteer team and try to respond as quickly as time allows. And finally please remember that cats can live more than 20+ years, so this is a lifetime commitment.  Please make sure you have the financial resources, a stable home, and someone to take the cat(s) if something heaven forbid happens and you can no longer care for them.  Thank you for adopting a rescue cat!
